Review: Uncommon Criminals by Ally Carter

Goodreads summary box for Uncommon CriminalsThis is the second book in the Heist Society series.

First I just have to say, this was such a FUN read.  You know when you just need to curl up with a fun book that is light and sweet with a good plot that leaves you feeling happy?  This is that book.  Well, and Heist Society, the first book in the series.  It’s a feel good read.

I love Kat.  I think Ally Carter wrote a really lovable protagonist in Kat.  She’s smart and talented, but still 15 years old with all the angsty awkwardness that goes a long with that.  In that vein, I love the relationship between Kat and Hale.  Its not too much for their age.  Of course, I’m also hoping we get to see some more development between the two in the next book.

And the plot for this book is engaging and suspenseful.  Its not so suspenseful that it caused a lot of anxiety, but enough to keep it exciting.  Like I said, its just a fun, light read that is full of awesome.  And these books should totally be made into movies.  They would be like the Italian Job or Ocean’s Eleven.  Only with teenagers.  I would dig it.

I give it:
